I am unsure of a prior review on here with regard to state medical. We have state medical and I did not remotely feel like we were discriminated against or told a longer wait list or the like. In fact we have felt and received nothing but warmth, genuine concern, and personalized and positive approaches to therapy. I have been on multiple wait lists with my children at a variety of clinics and with multiple different state and private insurance providers. That is not uncommon. 4 yrs is an outrageous number of yrs mentioned in the other review. Usually its a yr to 2 it seems at most places. Often much less with children under 3 and the infant toddler program. But that has nothing to do with the provider. That's across the board and normal for our area and the discipline of OT. However, with ICan, I did not experience that. Not even close. They are also the only place I could find that works with adults in relation to sensory needs. And I cannot say enough good things about them!!! We've been to multiple clinics for multiple disciplines - they are the best by far! The atmosphere is also so much more personal. Highly highly highly recommend!

Was told there was a four-year waiting list.
Was told they wouldn't put that in writing. When I asked for them to send that to me in a letter explaining that there's a four-year waiting list for people with State health care.
I asked was a waiting list for only state paying healthcare.
So if you're poor and have state paying healthcare know that they will tell you that there's a four-year waiting list and that your disabled child wouldn't be able to have an opportunity.
